Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart generated in the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Complete Collection

For a minimum of $30, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • City Designer 3
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Perspectives 3
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Schley Urban Pack
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Religious Structure Maps
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Creation Guide
  • Annual Volumes 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
